Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (1964)

I'm finally watching the Hammer horror flicks I DVRd last month during TCM's Hammer Horror Fridays extravaganza for Halloween.  Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (1964) has a very brief bellydancing scene near the beginning.  The dancer and musicians are, of course, not credited.  The wise-cracking American show biz impresario tucks a few bills in her hip scarf and makes a crack about putting her dance to ragtime and making a fortune.  Ha.  Anyway, I've yet to find a still online of the dancer from the film.  She's quite good; if anyone has any ideas who she is, I'd love to hear from you.

You can watch the entire film online at Veoh but you have to install their player first.

Welcome to the blog!

Hi vintage belly dance music lovers!  Marhaba to the new Radio Bastet blog.  Here you will find my sometimes coherent blatherings about collecting old records, digitizing them, podcasting them, and then sitting back and raking in the cash. (don't believe that last part) Also some random thoughts about belly dance, vintage and otherwise.  So join me for the thrill ride of the century! Or something like that.

All kidding aside, I'm glad you're here.  Let's go!
